Native Resistance Network

Welcome to our web site.

Native Resistance Network is a direct action organization of Indigenous individuals and Non-Indigenous allies dedicated to informing and educating the public, and supporting and empowering Native peoples throughout the Western Hemisphere and around the world.

Last December, on the anniversary of the Wounded Knee Massacre, our founding members presented Un-settling Occupation at Irondale  in Brooklyn, New York.  This event called upon us all to remain aware that the Occupy movement unfolds on land seized by force, and to support Indigenous peoples, for whom occupation has not been a choice, but a lived experience of oppression.  The event was attended by more than 300 people.

In recent weeks NRN held an event called Voices of Indigenous Solidarity at the Judson Memorial Church to open the New York Anarchist Book Fair, where one of our members hosted a discussion on Native Resistance.  We participated at the Free University at Madison Square Park on May Day, doing a Teach In about Mother Earth and Manna-hata before marching as part of the May Day action.  We created a zine to accompany the Teach In.  We also sponsored An Evening with AIM Member Lenny Foster at Casa de las Americas, presented by NYC LPDOC.

We are based in New York City.  We meet twice a month.  We encourage you to visit us on Facebook and to follow us on Twitter.  Watch this space to find out when and where our next meeting and future actions will be held.
